Kinship Family Day Camp

We have been busy planning our first ever Kinship Family Day Camp which will take place The Salvation Army Beaver Creek Camp, June 8th, 2025! A family camp experience is something that has been heavily requested by kinship caregivers who crave positive experiences and connection with their families.

This event will look a bit different than our other Kinship Celebrations - think BBQ’d hot dogs, roasting marshmallows, and games for everyone! But a couple of other key differences to take note of are that this event falls on a

Sunday from 2:30-6:30pm

Here are some important times to take note of:

2:00 - volunteers arrive at Beaver Creek

2:30 - families arrive at Beaver Creek

6:30 - families depart for home, volunteers clean up

7:00 - volunteers depart for home

Since this event will be more of a family camp than a traditional Kinship Celebration, we will spend a large part of the day all together instead of separating the kids from the caregivers for the full length of the event. We hope that this will encourage fun experiences between family members, and allow for you, as our volunteers, to experience the fullness of the day! So, to be clear, we will not be expecting our kids volunteers to run a 4 hour program!

This will be an opportunity to truly serve as a family as we come together for food, games, outdoor exploration, and a campfire experience.
